What wonderful memories you bring back with your photos of the Doka coffee plantation and Poas. I did not know about Hitler's bunker and home. How strange. It was great seeing the photos of you, Erin, Dolly and George. I had not seen Becky for a long time either so it was good to see her there too.
I have lived in Boca Raton, Fl for twelve years. I am from Jamestown, NY, home of Lucille Ball, Roger Tory Peterson, Natalie Merchant and the Ten Thousand Maniacs. I belong to an online writers' group, The Skywriters. I am a member of The Poets of the Palm Beaches. I am also a member of the Florida Writers Association. I regularly attend the yearly Festival of the Palm Beaches which features famous poets who teach workshops and also read their poetry. My most recent teacher was the most wonderful Eleanor Wilner. I encourage everyone to check out the Festival. I love poetry, I love writing poetry. Four years ago my husband of thirty years was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. It is our new journey and we have been active in the crusade to fight this devastating disease that robs life by killing brain cells. My husband speaks regularly for the Alzheimer's Association. I am his care partner.

Very nice photos, Diane. I had not realized that Hitler had a home in Costa Rica. Seems like such an unlikely place.
I enjoyed the people photos...glad to see Erin...and, of course, Dolly. And it has been ages since I have seen Becky.
Glad you are keeping up your blog once more!
